@VLMC manager
Some important news re VLMC, before we announced VLMC one thing we considered was the shorter race distance may not be for everyone, as we are all endurance nuts after all.
So in case we didn't reach full sign up, we have a back up plan, and we will now put that plan in place.
VLMC will now no longer require driver swaps. Meaning that it will be completely up to teams if they want to run with multiple drivers or if people would prefer to drive solo. For teams that want to run multiple drivers in a race there will be no time applied in pitstops for driver swap, so no advantage is gained by running solo.
As you guys have already signed up I thought it was only fair to let you know first so that you have a chance to sign up additional cars before everyone else. (It won't be locked down to just you guys so if others catch on and sign up, it is what it is) I'll post a public announcement in 24 hours.
Cars will only require 1 driver to be signed up, but the normal maximum drivers rule will still be in effect, and the car will still be in the championship not the drivers as per normal VEC.
If you are removing drivers from a car that is already signed up, please use the line up manager first to remove them from the existing car.
Before signing up multiple cars with a single driver strongly consider if absences will still be able to be managed. Attendance is vital and poor attendance could have future ramifications on sign ups and division placements.
Entries will still be limited, the cap remains at 20 LMP3 and 25 GT3. There is currently more availability in LMP3 so perhaps consider prototype first.
I think this will be an exciting change and I'm looking forward to pre season late September.
Cheers
Shawn
