VEC Introduction to Season 18 - Next chapter, same legacy!

Hello everyone,

I'm a 56-year-old grandpa, and I'm putting together a team of three or four drivers for the upcoming VEC season. Most of them are Silver-rated on LMU, while I'm only Bronze because I don't have time to do LMU online races.

I've been sim racing for six years, first on ACC, RF2, and now also on LMU. We've participated in the FFSCA's IEC (International Endurance Championship) for the past four years, as well as four 24 Hours for Anna races.

Do you think it's possible to apply for a provisional license to participate in VEC season 18 in LMP2, given our limited endurance racing experience?

As the only member who speaks a little English, could you tell me what the written test consists of so I can help my co-drivers?

Unfortunately we have closed the LMP2 entries. But you can sign up in GT3 and gain that experience here.
Did you read the advanced license post? In case you have drivers who raced in LFM or irading and can get a higher rating?

Yes I have read it.
In my team, one have License A-SR 3.21on Sport Car and License A-SR 3.45 in Nascar on Iracing with P2 SR on LMU, a second one have SR P3 on LMU and me I began to upgrade my SR on LMU.

My request in first time concerned the next season but If I undestand your answer, you meaning that you have some free slot in LMGT3 for this season 18 ?
If it's true, we are intersting to drive with you this season. We are ready to do the driving-test and take the season pass for sign up.

I waiting you confirm that, regards

Yep there is room either in HY (see license requirement which i am not sure your entry will pass) but GT3 is open to everyone.

For season 19 we will continue to use ratings, but obviously if you have raced here that makes it a lot easier.
But to clarify, we have waited since September on driver swaps being available and we are still on hold until they release it. When they do (perhaps they want to wait until their LMVS season is go who knows) we can get going. I now predict march, which is where we will start up with a revised schedule. Our pro council is currently voting on which of 2 schedules we should do.

Are you sure there is no way to have a slot in LMP2 ? One driver don't want to drive in GT3, because we ever race FFSCA Endurance championship in LMP2.

If is not realy possible, we come anyway with you in GT3 but only two pilots for this season.

We doing the written licence test and take our season pass today or tomorrow.

Hi, We have take our season Pass, we can see it in account but I can't register my team, The two pilot GT3 stay in grey.

Maybe I miss somthing, could you see and help me please ?

I have bought season Pro pass yesturday, I am Pro Manager in forum but I can't register in pilot because system say no season pass for this driver.
Does I miss something ?

Can you make a ticket in "Contact staff" then we can have a look at it, please note down the driver names as well.

I have imagine that the team pro season pass give me the team manager options with driver licence for me.
But if I understand, for a team we need a team license and a driver license for each drivers.

I have bought this morning a season pass and now I can select me as pilot.

certanly beacause the english was't native tongue that I don't understand that on first read.

Ah that would be it yeah. All good. Welcome to VEC, hopefully we can get racing soon.

You can - but there is no room in LMP2 and HY is a bit restricted. You can see first post.
 
Same for me Jimmi, .... we must know, whats going on with Sebring race. We have 3 weeks time up from now.... and we as a team are not able to plan this racedate... we know, it´s not easy for you to answer, but in my opinion, it is much better to cancle the race early.

be sure, we stay with you, looking in to the future.... but understand, that we have to plan.....
 
So all races are canceled before 1.4? Because we don't have driver swaps in 1.3 as well.
And I would like to ask how our passes are going to work in the future? Because for example, 90% of my team started to face connection issue when LMU server provider Hetzner started to block Ru IP's back in October 25'th. We have bought passes when we were sure that we can race, but for now it's very very unclear.
