I checked Room 2 replay 869 and found something a bit funny.
Rudy Cuppen got a drive-through for doing 2km/h an hour over the speed limit when the Code 80 dropped.

Isn't it a bit silly to give a drive-through for something as minor as this? There isn't a police officer on earth who would give out a speeding ticket for something so small :D
Well if you think its funny then so be it, but we are dead serious about our rules, if you dont follow them, then be prepared to take the penalty.
If these are not the boundries, then what would be better? 3 km/h, 4 km/h, nah what about 5-6-7-8-9 km/h dont get penalized. Then it would be funny that we penalize someone for going 10 km/h too fast, hilarious right.. People have 10 seconds to slow down, and if they cant, then guess what.
However im not gonna discuss any penalties assigned, as posted its not up for discussion - people should know the rules by now.

You're the boss, bossman.

It might be small, but if you start creeping over the line, where do you draw the actual one? Imagine if you were to apply that in other sports like for example tennis. "But the ball was only out by a fraction..."

He gained 0.050 seconds from that. It was a situation I thought no-one benefitted from. At most, a warning for next time and if the offense is repeated, then penalize.
Imagine if you got a drive-through or stop and go for every time two wheels went off track.

But this is only my viewpoint. I'm confident Jimmi and his stewards have seen the event and deemed it acceptable in these conditions.

I suppose it's more a case of objective officiating. An example in racing terms then... On a standing start, if someone jumps the start by 0.050, is that ok? Or if someone only "slightly" speeds in the pitlane, is that ok? There has to be a hard cut-off somewhere so that one does not get into the whole argument of who thinks what margin of error is ok.

completely agree with Gabriel....
in fact, just to be safe and dont earn a penalty, I always reach 80kph 2 or 3 seconds before code80 is engaged....
probably if other cars slow down ON THE LIMIT of the countdown i will lost 1 or 2 seconds, but i will be safe aware of penaltys....
same goes for the pit entry limit....

I got busted and rightly so. I was off track and trying to get back on with damage while frustrated with what had happened. I only went over 80 for 4-5 seconds but so be it; I shouldn't of been speeding.

Just wondering if I should expect a response after a protest? Not complaining or anything, just don't know the procedure :)
I can do it quite fast, since i have reviewed 99,9% and agreed with those - but i´d rather sit down and have them reviewed again.

Fast answer, review my post - if you want a longer, then wait a few days.

Still waiting for a response on our protest. Just a reminder as we have to take a possible penalty into account for our strategy in the next round.

Stewards have reviewed several protests

874 - K van Dooren spins and push M Mueller off track, Mueller coast back on track and collects M Fuhrman who spins and goes backwards back on track and collects J Wilson
Penalty - M Mueller - Failure to lock brakes / Avoidable contact; Drive through
Penalty - M Fuhrmann - Failure to lock brakes / Avoidable contact; Drive through
Penalty - K van Dooren - Failure to lock brakes / Avoidable contact; Stop and hold 60 seconds

No matter how to look at this M Fuhrmann fails to lock brakes, yes he gets damaged but still he didnt follow the rules, therefor
Penalty stands

5764
- N Barclay overtakes D Baumbach out of 130R, towards the chicane Baumbach returns to racing line, M Fuhrmann hits the back of Baumbach
Penalty - M Fuhrmann - Avoidable contact; Stop and hold 60 seconds
Saying sorry on a PM does not help when steward review incidents reported. We suggest you would use gentlemen rule, that way you show everyone that you know you messed up.
Penalty stands

6621
-
C Streppone brakes into the final chicane and gets collected by M Fuhrmann
Penalty - M Fuhrmann - Avoidable contact; Drive through
Being predictable is driving at ones own speed that one can manage without causing issues for others, therefor Streppone is not being unpredictable. Heavy rain and wet track, obviously some drives slower than others
Penalty stands

8870 - P Miciunas catches M Marsili and brakes late, Marsili is allready committed to the apex and cant avoid contact, sending cars off track
Penalty - P Miciunas - Avoidable contact; Drive through
Generally speaking it is up to the passing driver to make sure a safe pass can be made, this pass was done in a blink of an eye and in the last second. Yes the P1 was side by side with the GT car, but one has to take several factors into consideration. However the GT car continued to bump the LMP1 car and therefor
Penalty stands and adding
Warning - M Marsili - Avoidable contact after contact

14013 - M Machado gets pushed off track and into the wall when M Bert misjudges his speed
Penalty - M Bert - Avoidable contact; Stop and hold 60 seconds
Protest regarding no contact was made - it's a clear but - taken directly from the result file:
14013.3 Matheus Machado(41) reported contact (0.19) with another vehicle Marius Bert(0)
14013.3 Matheus Machado(41) reported contact (0.19) with another vehicle Matheus Machado(41)

Avoidable contact
I don't need or feel like explaining it again. If you don't understand please re read my post

Avoidable contact ?
hahahaha
ok. I say nothing to that Situation :D
Only what I hope, the VEC Drivers look the Replay and make their own opinion about the Situation...
A Shame for the SimRacing Szene!

On the other hand, it's definitely not the first penalty you guys have received. So it's understandable you're not being given the benefit of the doubt.

Enzo, exactly that's it...

In the Future we make many mistakes, yes thats right!
But now, we become Penaltys for nothing... ?!
At some point this must stop, to judge over the past... :(

Yes avoidable contact - how many times do you want me to repeat myself?
You know contact that is deemed avoidable - which this was deemed.

But yeah I would suggest everyone would load up the replay and review this.
Result file doesent lie..

Seriously..?

We review incidents as posted and we judge from that - we don't take sides nor do we hold a grudge. However if you feel that we are out to get you I suggest you withdraw the entry and we can both get on our merry way.
