VEC Race 6 - 6 hours of Road America

That was a fun race, chaos as expected but generally everyone was pretty respectful, bar a few LMH dives that were questionable. Mike Conger, i was sorry to see your car in the wall after our epic stint long battle. That will go down as one of my favourite endurance racing stints. Masterful defence.
 
They go like crazy,...and they throw themselves at the apex of the curve like crazy. and they haven't passed you yet and they want to take the good line to enter the curve... they throw you off the line with a side impact... you can't ruin a race like that because a prototype doesn't look at whoever is next to it
 
My shame. My shame. I am so unbelievably embarrassed and apologetic.

Firstly, to at least two Div 2 teams who I saw take damage due to having no warning of the danger ahead because I was muted when I tried to call Code 80. That is awful and, frankly, unprofessional. Div 1 teams know why I was muted, though.

I was apparently still connected to the Div 1 Teamspeak after having Jimmi resolve a problem in Div 2. And while the Div 1 tab was open, Div 2 was muted. And when I went to call the urgent Code 80 it was Div 1 who heard it. Awful, awful, awful and I want to crawl into a hole and die. So embarrassing.

And not funny at all because I already replay embarrassing and cringe moments from my life almost on a permanent loop. This is definitely going to come back for years to come.

Very, very sorry to everyone, including Jimmi, who immediately messaged me with the correct term of abuse - the one most Australians prefer.

We all make mistakes, you are the last one that people can complain about, actually working hard on making sure everyone has a nice race in D2. The australian swear word i blame Shawn Jacobs for, i have been influenced to use that :D

Don't worry James, thank you for what you do in D2.
But hey, you made it onto the broadcast :)
 
The BMW has a pit limiter speed of 79km/h, is there any way to fixed to 80km/h? I had an Aston Martin behind me who closed up during a code 80, had the same issue in Road Atlanta. Anything which can be done?

No, i have reported this to studio some while back, but they were kinda busy with this beta project they are doing :D
Its to do with revs iirc, nothing i can fix, but i am sure the 1 km/h won't slow you much down as it is currently the faster car.

Mate, don't be harsh on yourself! Today I throughly enjoyed the racing thanks to the calling out of several code 80's which brought that extra strategic element that makes endurance league racing sooooo enjoyable! Everybody makes mistakes, but at least you stepped up to the dififcult task of race director. Your efforts are much appreciated by me and our team and I'm sure most other drivers and teams. Hope to have you back next race as a race director and hope we have some code 80's and rain to spice up things and get that ultimate strategic race . Thanks @James Andrew for your effort and clear instructions in those code 80 and other situations.

Robin,
In the LMH pit limiter is 79kph in 1st gear. But if you go to 2nd or 3rd (or higher?) the limiter is on 80kph. Pretty sure that's what the other car was driving.

I reported it to Jimmi at Monza and there is a bit of speed difference between the cars on pitlimiter & first gear:

Only annoying at lemans, rest of the tracks it doesnt really make a huge difference.

oh wow. That was why. I was swearing so much when I thought the BMW in front of me was lifting off or something. Sorry for the flashes whoever that was :O
