once you touch the second apex of the final chicane?
Just been doing some review, and there is actually a physical line on the track now - I know for one of the le mans we did Jimmi had to call green flag, that must have been the previous version of le mans we had before the offical one, so apoliges for that. Race will now be normal start procedure and green flag will be when you cross this line

Got there in the end, hope that is now clear (3rd time lucky for me lol).

Track has also been updated with corrected cut tracks.

Every 20 or so minutes I am getting dropped from the server with a 'Connection Lost'. @Simon Marshall had the same issue once and I've seen a couple more people leaving and joining after 2-3 minutes, which I would assume it's the same issue. Help!

Still an issue? Once people are off the server I can restart it (will be restarted before the race as well)

But yeah definitely wouldn't assume that's the reason people join and leave, that's been happening for years lol

One of the big things that could be impacting this at the moment as well is world wide increased internet usage, ISPs are massively getting hammered.

After I wrote this, I tested on the VEC server (SRC server) and on the P1LMS server (P1.de server) and on both I had zero issues, so it may be an issue with the VLMC server only. I will test later tonight after work, hopefully, it will be gone by then.

Only a few hours to go till we kick off the final event of the season.

Just one thing I want to touch on before the event - cutting across the grass instead of going through the final chicane - 100% do not do this in qualifying (really shouldn't be done on src servers at all to be honest).

Any driver spotted by myself or reported (and then reviewed by me) as doing this during qualifying will be disqualified from qualifying and will start at the very rear of the grid (P3s as well)

Like I said for Sebring, please just respect each other and be fair, don't look for every exploit possible, integrity is a good thing to have.

I'll whisper this again before q starts to make sure no one misses it.

Now hopefully that's the only thing like this I need to mention :)

Let's have an awesome race all, catch you all soon.

Congrats to the Champions, well deserved.

Thank you @Shawn Jacobs for all the work and effort. Despite my own issues (killing my car in one race, having someone kill it another, and then having to drive that god awful Audi), the rest of our team has really enjoyed the racing and would lilke to see the series return. I know its very, very early but will all of the GT3's be allowed next season (prays in Radical)?

Cheers David.

and HAHAHA yeah way to early to tell, if there is a season 2, I would probably consider all GT3 but yeah, we'll see if there is a Season 2 over the next few months, the enthusiasm for it is definitely cool to see though.

Alright so the final replays have been uploaded, results and standings updated.

Congratulations to @Luka Berk and @Lorenzo Arisi! Your 200 euro prize has been submitted to your PayPal accounts that you used to purchase your season pass, any issue please let me know. Otherwise well done and well deserved. Enjoy!!!

Following on from this I will be touching base with the champions about if they will be taking up the entry into Le mans, remembering that the entry into Le mans must include a driver that has driven the winning car in the VLMC championship. If they decline, I will work my way down the championship standings, please confirm or decline the entry asap if I do contact you. Skin submission will be required to be submitted by 9/5/2020.

Finally a massive thank you to everyone who took part, I thoroughly enjoyed running this series this season, and with very few exceptions everyone has maintained an excellent attitude on and off the track, it was great to see, and to have almost every single entry turn up to the season finale was incredible, that sort of commitment is seriously cool, so thank you. For those racing in VEC 24 hours best of luck and everyone else all the best with your next races.

Stay safe all!

Massive apologies to the Caspian team, I've been informed it was your car that hit me as I got synchro coming out the pitlane. Our day in the 67 just went from bad to worse.

Sorry I ruined your race lads.

There was nothing you could do to be honest, both teams got 'rfactored.' It became a sad day for us as well because up until that point we were in constant contention for the lead. Sadly that incident forced us to retire. Those things unfortunately happen though. Hopefully there will be some improvements on that aspect though I highly doubt it at this point.

Anyway, thanks everyone, especially @Shawn Jacobs for a nice championship. See you next season!

That was great fun to race yesterday.

Started the race down in 15th, never really been able to eek the nervousness out of the Norma. But somehow found myself in p7 catching p6 half an hour into the race. A small spin would build the story for the rest of my race, with Jelle unable to avoid me running out talent exiting Indianapolis, that gave me a little bit of damage but nothing that would hamper me at all.

Sadly the game though otherwise. I pitted for my first stop. having deselecting damage and tires, only wanting a bit of fuel. But sadly the game decided to fix my damage anyway, not being able to skip it. To add insult to injury. It didnt fix the damage.

So yeah, now with being a minute adrift from the rest of the field and not being able to catch them for more than maybe 5 seconds per stint, giving myself a drive trough to boot for cutting. I just set sight on getting home with 3 hours to go. picking up positions with people falling by the wayside trough problems. brought it home nearly running out of fuel in P8.

With that out of the way, this race was very enjoyable, the norma is a challenge in itself, and i'm not really kicking myself for deciding against signing up for the full season at the start of the season.

Hoping there will be a next one! team vander Dander will be there if there is one!

I hope so too. It's not the way I expected my debut to go. I had LITERALLY just got in the car.

But since I didn't make one corner, does that mean I haven't technically made a debut? :p

Maybe you should do a storytime about your debut? :D sounds like a story from one of those back end teams, you might even think about hiring Roberto Moreno next year? :)

Are you the Marco Apicella of VLMC?

That's not even the guy with the shortest F1 career...

Happy with P5, could've been P4 but a slightly too low straightline speed cost me a lot of time. The spins on old, never changed soft tyres then put the nail in the coffin. Might've had P4 with a tyre stop in the middle, but it was somehow still enough for P4 in the championship(noticed it could've been P3 with P2 at VIR, but oh well).

Still like to drive the Norma, kinda wish they'd have the license to all the new ones that exist now for a bit of diversity in the field.

Congratulations to the race winners in both classes and champions as well.

For me, the races I did this season were a lot of fun. Teamed up with @AJ Snyder for this round and had great fun around Le Mans which I could lap around all the time as it is my favourite track when it comes to endurance racing. Also had a great battle with @Daniele Tulli for most of my stint which was good fun but made a mistake in my 2nd stint when I had a sideways moment through the Ford chicane which allowed him to pass me. Handed over to AJ who kept it clean and got to the finish and just missed out on points but still enjoyed it anyhow.

Massive thanks to @Shawn Jacobs for putting running the series and will be back next season if it runs again.
