Thank you, Jimmi, for another well-orchestrated VEC season! I'm probably one of the few that hopes we stay on RF2 for another year – let's see! Thanks to all the GT3 teams for putting up a good show all season!

Our team had an awesome season, being able to win the very competitive GT3 class. We many times didn't have the pace, as some tracks weren't McLaren's favorite type, but we then focused elsewhere on setup to go very long on tires.. Did laps on 1080 wheel range to make it work.. Somehow gave us success! :whitles: :whistling:

Le Mans final was a bit of a disaster for us leading up to the race. All had some sort of trouble, I had a BSOD Friday night several times – every time I pressed any button in RF2. That corrupted the game files and nothing worked. Had to reinstall the game and make a new player.json. The game somehow still did not work normally.. At high speed the steering became very quick, like driving with 120 wheel range, and at low speed it felt like using 900 wheel range. We could not find the cause of it. So hours before the race I had to just accept it and learn to drive with it.. I started being 3s slower a lap. It cost roughly 0.8s a lap in the end.. Such a blow! It was just hard to keep the car on track! Thanks to my teammates’ effort we somehow still managed to come P2 in the end at Le Mans.. GG's to SimFreem for a deserved win! Thank you Michi and Kasper for jumping in and doing such a good job!

On a personal level. It's always a blessing and a disease to be teammates with Jernej. He is always on top of the game and if one doesn't want to look like a wheelchair, one has to manage that as well. Personal pace was strong with a few poles – confirmed by a few box plot "wins" all season. So happy that it was a team effort all along the season to get the result. Le Mans is just a bummer to end up being a wheelchair due to PC issues. It is what it is!

Hope to see all teams for another season, hopefully on RF2 – otherwise elsewhere.

Ending the RF2 era with less than 700 hours in the game.. Was probably a mistake – should have done more looking back! But ey, you live and you learn.

Sorry for speech @Nico Barclay.

After the dust has settled I also wanted to say my thanks for everyone involved in this season, from organization up to each driver we shared the track with.

For us it was a really intensive season, a real rollercoaster. From enterting this league, to joining div1 after a bit of a lucky Spa race, then barely surviving the first round of relegations only to be knocked out by 2 races in a row with technical issues and being sent to div2 again where we suddenly and finally were able to win the big one at the end in our class, being our first real proper win in that constellation, was like a dream coming true. Especially how we executed the 24 hour race I'm and was so super proud of my boys. Not often did we manage to finish 24 hour races in the past, most of the time with having had some sort of bad luck throwing us out of contention for good results. But this time we kept everything together, again we of course had a bit of luck due to technical issues from sim freem and especially gilles (was really gutted for you, guys! amazing race up until your issues started) later in the race. once we found ourself in the lead, we knew there was still a long way to go and sim freem constantly catching up with their superior pace. Julian with his incredible pace kept us in the game however, so we sensed it was possible to stay in the lead up until the end. When I entered the car for my last stint at around 6 am in the morning, suddenly everything was on a brink again when for the first time since years I've had issues with rf2, with heavy stuttering on each and every corner, which made it almost impossible to hit apexes or correct the car on oversteer. Don't know what caused those issues and they only appeared after I gained control and went away once I lost control again in the pit, but it was such a relief when I entered the pit to hand over the car again. At the end, we made it, maybe having been the last real proper endurance event for us in rf2. So thanks to my teammates (but also those who supported us during the season, you hopefully know who you are) Jessy, Elias and Julian for making this possible and not having set a single foot wrong for 24 hours!

I also have to mention how good the racing in this league is. Of course some times there are close calls and moments in such big grid, especially as in div1, but the driving standards really have been high and very enjoyable, being able to trust the sorrounding cars to race and lap cleanly. This is something seldom found in other environments and I really appreciate it. Lets see what the future holds, but for the moment we will enjoy a well deserved summer break.

You mean just being sent back to the garage without any DQ or anything?
Only chance is to rejoin and start the race again from pitlane. This is unfortuantly an rf2 issue :(

I mean, some of them had what you mentioned happen to them, which sent them to the pits and me to a lost connection. With the handicap, the LCD menu wouldn't let me change only gas and tires; everything else was blocked.

Bit late I know, but I just want to say, in the name of GOTeam, thank you @Jimmi Allison for giving us this place on rF2 to compete and have a good time together over all those years. The racing and the community here are simply fantastic, and I would love to have another season in the future :).
You are so very welcome, its hardwork - but worth it when the community is thankful and respectful. We wont ever agree on everything but understanding that some things we cant agree on makes it a lot easier.
Thank you everyone.

In fact, Francesc had a lost connection with mediums, and the rejoin put hard tires on him with the wear he had with mediums . For me personally, every time I drove, the performance of my hardware was different. Very frustrating. Also, around 8 a.m. I gave the car to Francesc, fourth, 30 seconds behind third. When Francesc came out of the pits, we appeared with four more laps, without explanation, in seventh. We retired there because things were already exaggerated. :crying:.

Also on our account, our third driver Rafael Muñoz was injured while working just before the race, leaving Francesc and me alone. In any case, I have to say that we really enjoyed the race and were happy. We also congratulate all our colleagues who participated and the organizers. We are aware that these things can happen online. We just want a new season and to be able to enjoy it again. Congratulations to everyone.

Thanks Jimmi for this new season. We know how difficult it is to maintain a championship at this level, and we must acknowledge that.

Thanks also to all the participants. It's been a pleasure sharing the track with everyone, both in training and in the races. I consider the on-track behavior to be exemplary, and I wish it were like that in all the competitions. At first, it was a bit complicated with the new drivers, of which there were quite a few this year, but they quickly got the hang of this way of competing, and it's been a pleasure sharing the track with all of you. In such long races with so many cars, especially in multi-class competitions, there are difficult moments and mistakes, but I haven't seen anything intentional. We can all make mistakes.

We're not a top team, but we like endurance and we strive, giving it our all on track and finishing every race. We like to race fast Hypercars, and if our license doesn't allow it, we'll race in LMP2 like this season.

I'm sure we'll see each other in Season 18. I'm eager to hear the details, especially what simulator we'll be racing on, whether we'll continue with rFactor2 or use the new LMU Le Mans Ultimate. We've been racing with rFActor and rFactor2 for many years, and we've already made the jump to LMU. So I'm waiting to see what decision the organization makes.

I reiterate my thanks to Jimmi.

I'm not really used to doing debriefings, but I think it's important to wrap up this season by thanking everyone who deserves it.

Season 17 was Onoff Racing's third season in VEC, and it's been our best one so far. We keep getting better thanks to Nicolas, who's not only a quick and reliable driver but is also becoming a really talented setup ingineer.
Unfortunately, we got caught up in some expensive crashes this season that prevented us from fighting for second place overall. But hey, this is still our first overall podium in LMP2, so we won't complain!
Apart from those few incidents, we have to admit the championship ran really smoothly with an incredibly high level of competition, which was really exciting!

Now it's time for a well-earned break. I can't wait to see what's next for us, whether it's on rF2 or another sim racing platform !
Thank you Jimmi for this new season once again !

A season of mixed feelings. A promising start to the season, but an accident in the first race handicapped us in the championship for the rest of the season.
An accident beyond our control at the Nurburgring which also cost us dearly and the 24 Hours of Le Mans where from the first corner we were taken apart by a competitor who forced us to start the race 3 laps behind the GTs... and who didn't have the respect to apologise.

Overall, we've made progress in many aspects of endurance racing, but I'm still left with a bitter feeling because certain types of behaviour by competitors are still present race after race, despite the penalties. "Winning at all costs' to the detriment of respect for the competitors on the track can never allow you to win with honour.
I would like to thank the organising staff for this superb season and thank you for welcoming us. Have a great summer holiday.
