As you might have been told (if not complain to your manager), we need to switch track from Imola. There is 2 issues,
1 its not been updated in years, which at the time of planning the calendar was suppose to be fixed soon after.
2 The most important thing, there is a hole in the outside curb of the last turn which can be quite servere for LMP2s. Which was reported but apparently not updated (regardless its not been updated anyways).

Briefing:

- GT Cars are in the even pitboxes. Except from LMP2 44-250 in D1 and 239-249 in D2 they will be on both sides at the very end (where you enter pit) of the pits.
- Both division follow 4.3.2.2 rule regarding single file start
- If any code 80, NO you are not allowed to go through the pits with no service to gain time - that is and will be penalized as unsportsmanlike behaviour
- Reminder we will review all classes behaviour - Give and take - the more you give the more you can take, earn your respect on track by being fair to the other classes

DIVISION 1 Incident report

All decisions made by the Stewards are final.

Qualifying

Incident list

00:05:00 - At the start several drivers jumped the start by accelerating before the S/F line - which is defined (as always) as when the lap counter changes from one lap to another. Some penalties was assigned live as the replay would not be accurate, but those we were 100% sure off and that gained a significant advantage by either seconds or overtaken got applied live.
Jump start that did not get a live penalty: M Murguly, E Mujanovic, R Toth, J Kattau, S Rouault, J Reid, W Stoltsz, V Ferraris, J Ascensao, C Borre, M Veit, D Cannistraci, Y Pleiss, R Alves, M Lepoutre, A Gandossi

00:37:30 - A Taylor carries too much speed into T16 and makes contact with M Sedlacek sending him into a spin
Penalty - A Taylor - AC; DT

00:56:05 - J Wenninger and P Ahonen are going side by side in T15, But Wenniger does not leave enough space at the apex causing Ahonen to spin
Penalty - J Wenninger - AC; DT

01:14:00 - M Veit is caught off guard by a very slow W Stoltsz into T1, this causes D Cannistraci to be able to overtake Veit in T2 with a very aggressive push on Veit. Veit sends it up the inside and in reaction D Cannistraci moves right under braking. Veit is in a position to claim apex at the normal turn in point and not by the exaggerated turn in from Cannistraci
Infraction - D Cannistraci - BL
Infraction - M Veit - AC

01:31:16 - E Guibbert makes light contact with D Cannistraci at T10
Infraction - E Guibbert - AC

01:42:29 - W Karjalainen overtakes D Cannistraci in T2, but holds a tight line causing the GT to hit him
Penalty - W Karjalainen - AC; DT

01:57:14 - M Murguly tries to overtake C Borre, but is side by side with D Cannistraci and yet moves to the left sending the GT3 off the track
Penalty - M Murguly - AC; DT

02:00:25 - C Pointeau forces a late move in T13 and forces D Cannistraci to take avoiding action
Infraction - C Pointeau - AD

02:08:33 - R Nilsson chops infront of I Peiffer and spins himself out
Infraction - R Nilsson - AC

02:11:14 - M Panci is reported to abuse headlights on several occasions. Panci follows the rules and flashes twice on each occasion, nothing out of the ordinary
NFA

02:32:35 - D Brambilla goes for a dive, resulting in light contact. He attempts to squeeze T Wach for the next corner, but backs off, before the corner.
Infraction - D Brambilla - AD

02:35:44 - Z Hives overtakes T Wach into T15 causing Wach to be off the racing line and D Brambilla to follow Hives. Wach then returns to racing line at a much lower speed and Brambilla can't avoid contact.
Infraction - T Wach - UP

02:39:28 - M Panci bumps off I Peiffer into T1, before T3 Peiffer rejoins ahead of Panci. Panci manages to overtake into T3 but Peiffer manages to brake too late and push Panci off the road. Poor driving from both
Infraction - M Panci - AD
Infraction - I Peiffer - AD

03:13:42 - I Peiffer goes up the inside of A Colavitto and forces his way through as Colavitto is trying to turn in
Penalty - I Peiffer - AD; DT

03:18:58 - I Peiffer keeps his position by pushing A Colavitto off track
Penalty - I Peiffer - AC; DT

03:29:55 - R Jimenez lets his car run wide without lifting into the path of F Jungbluth and contact is made
Penalty - R Jimenez - AC; DT

03:57:04 - S Zitiello defends (legally) from F Jungbluth and at the turn in Jungbluth is too close and sends off Zitiello
Penalty - F Jungbluth - AC; DT

Post race: C Basto drove 74% of the race distance which is against the 70% rule
Penalty - C Basto - DQ

Stewards Comments and Feedback
I Peiffer goes on probation due to 2 AC penalties within 2 races

- Race director is available through-out the races around 99% of the time. The race director help users in both divisions in case they have issues. I oversee servers, broadcast and the general race. Warn drivers for blue flags, no headlights and review any crashed out car. On top of which penalize - if i see fit - drivers for various reasons. This is not just done post race. While most are, this case of jump start was out of the ordinary. Several cars - including 42 - gained a massive advantage and was able to overtake before T3 was completed, some even before T1. Yes then i will step in, regardless of what some users might think is fair or not. I took a very big margin of error (just like we do for C80, which btw also have been penalized live) to avoid penalizing drivers that did not deserve it - which is also why i knew several drivers would get a penalty post race. In case you disagree with a penalty, go read the rules and then read this post. On top of that, drivers might look at x or y incident, where race director/admin need to look at the bigger picture. I will never be able to argue about penalties if i do not give it to someone that broke a rule where others that followed the rules got disadvantaged. In case you want to complain, don't - there will be no changes and you will simply be muted. We follow the rules - you should try and do that to avoid getting penalized.

DIVISION 2 Incident report

00:07:25 - J Fernandez overtakes J Alvarez into T13 and have the right to do so as he is level with the GT3 on turn in. Alvarez goes for the apex and contact is made - both cars continue
NFA
GT3 car should have given a bit more room

00:10:00 - T Sobanski moves left in the braking zone to block two LMP2's and contact is made.
Penalty - T Sobanski - AC; DT
Unsportsmanlike behaviour by the GT3. 2 LMP2 cars are figting for position, you will not lose the race by leaving room at the 50 meter braking mark. Infact you lose more time by doing this and almost causes another driver to lose a position.

00:24:00 - M Gueriri overtakes but then spins infront of R Vos who can't avoid a slight bump on the LMH
Infraction - M Gueriri - FTLB

00:26:20 - T Sobanski moves right F Morelato moves left and contact is made
Racing incident

00:28:03 - K Morville goes for a half move on T Sobanski in T11, but fails to back out properly and spins both cars.
Penalty - K Morville - AC; DT

Stewards Comments and Feedback
C Medeiros stays on probation, he did not race at Silverstone

It is important that everyone read and understand the starting rules - these are the rules that applies when no exceptions is posted. Just as rule: 1.8 explains. We acknownledge that drivers get "tricked" to go faster, however GT3 insisted and followed the rule and just like D1, we can't just have someone not following the rules and dictate how things are run. So break a rule = penalty.

Hi Jimmi,
Are we allowed to drive on official practice server if we are still in the same team but not on the line up anymore because there is a limited number of spot ?

Hi Jimmi,

No, given you wont have access to the links/password etc you "can't join"
While your access has not been removed due to your team being last minute on a change - the day of the race.
@Roberto Pignataro can you please follow up on the contact staff message so we can manage this late driver change.

For the reminder of the season please plan ahead (everyone) 3 out of the last 3 races have had a late change (multiple actually).

You all know Silverstone pretty well. Briefing posted.

Is it allowed to manipulate the weather so we crash less in a sim? You can't tell me it's not scripted...
If you ask me, its about time we get some rain - too many dry races tbh :)

Silverstone is a place where it usually rains, and it is also normal at this time of year. We have already run VEC races on this circuit in which it has not stopped raining at any time.

We will miss you from the Almeria desert, where the prediction is totally different. One of the attractions of the weather is precisely that, and the best thing that can happen in a race to enjoy it more is that the weather is changeable, and the track conditions vary throughout the race.

Hi, it's seem that the race control on D2 is bugged, we have qualifying over message on race and penalty seem not to be assign
