VEC Race 9 - 24 hours of VEC Le Mans

Hi Jimmi,
I'm here to ask if you can reply to those questions i'm going to give you. so i didn't partecipate to the 24h but my drivers qualified and raced the 24h (car no. #290 Mennato Boffa srt), what they want to know (if this is possible)
1. why they qualified in 6th position an than they started the race last (15th)
2. the second question is why my guys had picked a penalty durning the start procedure (they were following the guide lines about the briefing you write here in the foum), and they got a DT.

1. Long story short (adding some too it so it might give answers to other teams that started from the back when they didnt Q and didnt tell us)
If teams did tell us they were going to race they got moved to the back of their class (such as 36), if they didnt they got moved to the end of the entire grid (such as 208) so your car was set to be in 27th (moved one position down due to 36).
Your entry was not available in the first 7 minutes of the grid and after 2 tries to setting the grid, the car got moved down alongside 235 that joined around the same time.

12:35 - Warmup (All cars must be on the server - and stay there, will be setting grid files, if you leave, you will be held responsible for falling out of grid).

Cars was needed to be there when i ran the batches - I ended up running it 5 times in the span of close to 10 minutes (out of 15). I do not have time to keep checking if people are joining. Either they are there as requested or they have to be moved down. So that is the reason why you started in last position.

Just one question @Jimmi Allison : why did the 239 receive an S&Go 30, when the Silverstonne sanctions gave us a DT?

Penalty - LMH/LMP2 - DT

Penalty - #239 - DT

2 DT=30 second SnH as per this

Penalties from last race will be merged: 1 DT means 1 DT, 2 DT means one stop and hold 30, 3 DT will give you a 60 seconds stop and hold.

Hello everyone,
This was my first season on the VEC in Division 2, and although it's been a little chaotic with several racing incidents and technical problems, I've really appreciated the overall level of the competitors and the quality of the organization.
Having said that, I'm still convinced that having a live race stewarts would make sanctions more fluid and force drivers to be more cautious.
I also think that a live broadcast for Div 2 would be really appreciated, in addition to live timing.
Thanks to Jimmy for offering us this championship with well-organized races and solid servers.
